Reasearch For Authors Note

Well my topic is Gay Abuse inside and outside of school for kids and teens. For one you may think that gay abuse happens in school and ends at school. But gay abuse that starts in school also effects that child's life outside of school and happens to them through the internet or physically happening to the on their way home or when they come outside. Gay abuse doesn't just effect that person physically it also hurt that person emotionally
  • I need statistics
  • General information
  • The definition of not only gay abuse but some terms used when gay people are abuse like homophobic, homophobia, ect.
  • And maybe just one or two example from kid or teen who have experienced or witnessed gay abuse and how they fell and how this issue really effects them and their family.
  1. Definition of Homophobic: Is basically a large range of negative attitudes and feelings towards  lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer and in some cases transgenders and inter-sex people. Definitions refer variably to antipathy, contempt, prejudice, aversion, and irrational fear. Homophobia is observable in critical and hostile behavior such as discrimination and violence on the basis of a perceived non-heterosexual orientation.
  2. Definition of Discrimination: an act or instance of discriminating
  3. Definition of Homophobia: is the hatred or fear of homosexuals yup I said it that it is, lesbians and gay men - sometimes leading to acts of violence and expressions of hostility. Homophobia is not restricted to any one parts of society, and can be found in people from all walks of life. Organized hate groups have viciously attacked homosexuals and have used especially rude language in attention to persecute and intimidate them.
Statistics:
  • In 1984  because of gay abuse, gay people five times more likely to miss school because of feeling unsafe. 28% are forced to drop out
  • Many Victims of anti-lesbian/gay violence - possibly more than 80% - never report the incident
  • 85% of teachers oppose integrating lesbian, gay and bisexual themes in their curricula
  • In 1986 42% of homeless youth identify as lesbian, gay or bisexual
  • In 1997  84% of Americans oppose employment discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation
  • In 1996 about 75% of people committing hate crimes are under age 30 (WOW)- one in three are under 18 (VERY PREDICTABLE)- and some of the most pervasive anti-gay violence occurs in schools(WORRRRD)
  • In 1989 Lesbian, gay and bisexual youngster are at a four times higher risk for suicide than their straight peers.
  • In 1994 a survey was taken and 191 employers said t that 18% would fire, 27% would refuse to hire and 26% would refuse to promote any person that was lesbian, gay or bisexual.

Poem (extra cedit)

Mr.Gone

Why did you have to go
Leaving you family and kids alone
Tear tears for you
That were shown'
Now they are home sad and all alone
So are you happy with yourself
Mr.Gone
I bet you like leaving people all alone
Leaving you face burned deep in thier souls
Now they'll never forget you
Mr.gone
since you left them all so alone
Forever and ever
You may never return
And the pain they suffer
Is going to stay
As these first few empy days
Go by
We will survive

Poem (extra cedit)

Lockers

Things unfold
Old nasty sandwiches
Dirty smelly gym clothes
Homework from last week
That hat i lost in winter
As days go by
the junk piles up high
Open up your locker
Textbooks fall out
people get hit
Your locker
my not be
a safe place

Poem (extra cedit)

Painful Portrait
Hurnger in thier eyes
The feeling of death and sorrow
that comes your way
No food
and
No water
One pair of clothes to wear
New born babies
suffer
The pain
The hunger
More than you do
They die
Before they even gt the chance to live
Corps of thier body lay on the floor
Tears of women
Tears of men
Tears of the children
The parents try to defend
But its hard living this way
This is serious
Its not a game

Poem (extra cedit)

The Feel of The Game

Head held up high
Sneakers neat and tied
Helmet safely secured
While the a ocean blue eye
Peeks out
Through the open spaces

A gun shot rings out
BAMMMMM!!!!
So loud and clear
You race down the feild
Focusing on nothing but the ball
Cheers and screams, as the crowd goes wild

The heat
The pressure
The determination to win this game
Sweat slowly drips down your face
As you run down the feild
Heading for that goal
With more confidence than anyone else
With all your heart and soul

You make it there
You hear all the cheers
HOOOOORRRRRAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY WHHHOOOOOPP WHHHHOOOOOPPPP!!!!!!!!
You take a breath
And you know its the end

Topic: Gay Abuse in and out of school
Articles: Bullied because you're gay or lesbian,Wear Purple Day Oct. 20 Against Domestic Violence and Teen Bullying

After reading these articles about gay abuse i really started to understand how serious of an issue this is. For one I'm not against gays, i don't have the right to discriminate which isn't a big deal as people make it out to be. I'm totally against this bullying, harassment, and discrimination inside and outside of school. It effects kids on every level depression and pain. Peoples verbal abuse, Interent Abuse, physical abuse all stays with that kid for their life. whats even worse is gay abuse, judging a person by what gender they like?? Its not a big deal at all. I can never understand why some kids do this to others. And I also cant relate to the pain gay people may go through everyday especially gay kids who go to school and are teased and tortured about being gay.Kids bully gays because they think they are "different" in some way, which isn't true at all.
And because of this kids tend to try and change themselves, force themselves to be straight, try to dine what they are. People say being gay is a choice when its clearly not, who would choose to be bullied, tortured , hurt, every day by others when they can simply change their ways. being gay is something that you CAN'T control. In most schools teachers and staff are aware of homophobic bullying in schools, although few schools deal with the issue. As you start to see more and more on the new is that a very largely-unrecognized effect of homophobia is psychiatric injury, including attempted or actual suicide.
Do you see how many teens kill themselves because they simply couldn't take the abuse from others anymore. They didn't have anyone there to really help them or stop the abuse so they took the only chance at that moment that seemed very reasonable, suicide.Well as much as one in five gay people have self-harmed or attempted suicide because of homophobic bullying and abuse.Besides all that i like that people are started to lend a hand to gay people. Try to show them that someone does care and its will all end soon. So the Gay Awareness Day was made to make awareness about whats happening. On this that people wear purple to help show spirit for anti gay bullying.
I think this day is a good example of a way to reach out to gay people and kids who are being abuses for being gay.

Social Awareness Poem 2

The Pain

The pain will never go away
The bruises are now here to stay
The hurt you have inflicted on me
burns in me everyday
You vicious beast oh you must pay
My heart and soul won't fell the same
You yell
I quiver
You grab
I squeal
You slap
I cry
You beat
And there
on the floor
 Is where i lie
You stop and stare
But I'm deep in fear
for more will come
for me to bear
I await u next move
Just lieing there
You walk away
And all i can do i stare
My body so soreful
Throbbing in pain
And I know I will go through this another day

tTHIS PEOM IS BASED ON ABUSE OF MANY PEOPLE. CHILDERN, AND WOMEN, AGAAINST GAYS FOR HOW THEY ARE AND MANY MORE THINGS. THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED OR SOMEONE SHOULD HELP THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN ABUSED TO COME OUT AND SPEAK THE TRUTH

Social Awareness Poem

For What I Have Lost
         By kayla newman
No roof above our heads,
No bed that we can rest on,
No money in our pockets,

No kitchen that i can cook in,
No food for me to cook,
No comfort, safety and warmth

We once had these things
That a family shall have
But not that's all forgotten
And way back in the past

But all we have now
Is each other and our love
For I have no pity
My sorrow will improve my strength
And maybe one day we won't be homeless again.

WELL THIS POEM IS ABOUT A SOCAIL ISSUE WE HAVE IN THIS WORLD WHICH IS HOMELESSNESS

1)Media/Newa Immersion: Newspaper articles: Animal Abuse And Neglet

This article is about Anmial abuse and neglet. For one i dissaprrove of this, the video that was there of and example which shows neglet of these horese that live on a farm was horrifing. I was nearly in tears. The article says that these horses have been living in horribble conditions. No grass to feed on, u can find the remains of dead horses laying aroung, the dont have a proper place to stay. Which is why these people came to help this issue. They brought vets to come help and care for the horeses, the dieses and conditions they were in were basically deadly.Neglect is not giving an animal the right food, water, shelter or vet care.
The articles says that all U.S. states have animal cruelty laws, and 47 states treat some forms of abuse as felonies. Farmers and researchers can do cruel things to animals that other people can't do legally, but all states have some protection for pets like dogs and cats.

1)Media/Newa Immersion: Newspaper articles:   Joe Miller’s Confusing, Contradictory Position on Gay Marriage

Well this article is based on what Alaskan GOP senate candidate Joe miller had said on the issue of agy rights.he said, quote" i think it's important that we reconize that there are different approaches to different values, and i think that it;s best for the states to be able to make thoes decisions."there was also a video that wen twith this article which u can watch down below, and i thought that what he said was a lie. Because yea hes saying all of this but yet still in Alaska they banned gay marriges. He was really into letting the states deal with this issue on thier own. Then after he said alll that later on he said that he'd vote for a contitutional amendment banning gay marriage everywhere. On the one hand, Miller says "let states decide" and on the other hand, he wants the Federal government to amend the constitution to prohibit states from deciding.Like WTF is that about. First you say its all on the people itdoesnt effect you really, now you say that your going to ban gay marriages?? He made this so confusing for most eople. He may even decide it should be up to each parish of each religeon to decide on blessings for gay marriage.Either way, Americans don't like politicans who flip flop.

Social Awareness 2

1)Media/Newa Immersion: Newspaper articles: President Obama has appointed a record number of gays to his administration, data shows

Well this article talks about How president Obama hasn't been moving fast to end the mititery's "Don't ask.Don't tell" policy. But alot of people have notice that he has appointed aloyt of openly gays officals since his election. A spokesmen from the White House says that Obama has placed about 150 gay men and women in alot of  posts in his administration..For weeks he has been criticized by the gay community for not doing alot more to help abolish the rule prohibiting gays from serving openly in the army forces.Well the gay people of NYC seem encouraged at the progress president obama had made in only his two years in office. In the article a White House spokesman Shin Inouye said Obama is proud of his appointment of officials from the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender) community. "This number will only continue to grow."
This article impressed me alot. I like how Obama improved the gay community, and gave the Gay people of NYC more courage and faith. I will hope that this process will contuine and that gays will be ablle to particapate in the war like they ask to have more openly gays particate in the war. I would like to help make some of these suggestions come true and that we can have gay americans fell like everyone else. Wouldnt you??

Social Awareness

   1) Media/ News Immersion: News paper article on: New York City suffers frightening 15%   jump in homicides as murder makes deadly comeback

Well the article is mostly about how in the past year the cities murder rates have gone up 15%
Which is not good at all. tHE NYCD has recored about 437 murders since the passing sunday compared to the 382 murders whe had last year.NYPD recorded 437 murders as of Sunday, compared with 382 in the same period last year. The article tells us about  some places that murder rates have really shot up over the year.Areas like East Harlem and Crown Hieghts has had a big percentage of murder rate growth.
In East Harlem's 25th Precinct, murders rose 400%, with 10 slayings this year compared with two at this time last year. The article also talks  about  the differnent crimes and things that are also happening in the city.

Well to tell you the truth i blame the police. Maybe they arent doing their jobs good enough. We the people of NYC should be able to fell safeliving here. The police are our protectors we should be able to walk the streets of New York City without any fear or rape, being shot or mugged , harassed, and act of violence.I think we shold have a better police system where the police will act  for our safety. This is rediculas, mother are afriad to send children to scholl by them self, our senior citzen have to think twice wheen talkin a stroll down there block, and chilling at night is dangerous for us to do to. This is a serious issue that needs to be fixed immeaditly. I didnt even know that the crime/mureders in NYC where this bad and terrible i wonder how the goverment will sork to fix this issue.

Final aprreciation

I remember when I was younger about age 7. I used to be the kid who didn't enjoy book, I always put aside reading. I'm that type of person who judges a book by its cover, which I learned when I got older that u cant always judge a book by its cover. That the same exact thing I did when I saw the book Stuart little. I was in school one day searching for a book, when a classmate suggested that i read the book they just finished Stuart little By E.B White. I searched the cover and read the mini paragraph at the back of the book but it didn't seem that interesting.
But that kid annoyed me so much just to read a book that they thought was amazing. I had two choices read the book or slap the color right out of this kid. I did the smart thing and took the book just to try it out. At first i skipped a lot of pages and didn't really pay a lot of attention to the book until i got to the middle and things seemed to be getting interesting. When i finally finished the book i was dazed oh how amazing it was it was actually good. I regret the i skipped any pages an i must of had missed a lot of important details and facts. But at least i learned that i should never judge a book by its cover and to at least give a book a chance.
Well in the book Stuart Little By E.B White the book is basically about a mouse that is born into a human family that lives in the big city, New York. The book talks about the big adventure Stuart he goes on after he meets a bird named Margalo. Margalo enters the Little's family as a guest after Mrs. Little found her injured and took her in for care. In that time Stuart developed feelings for Margalo, But when Margalo's life was in danger so she left without saying goodbye leaving Stuart crushed and heartbroken. That when he decides to go on a journey to find Margalo and he leaves hos family behind without any goodbyes, just like Margalo had done to him.Durning the journey he meets a girl of his size and proprtions, but things dont work out since his mind is on margalo.Stuart has a very intresting personality for his size. Hes educated(at only three years old), mature, physically and emotionally fit and has a clear understanding of the world around him.Although the book ended without Stuart being able to find Margalo or returning back to his family, it was still a great book. Especially for the age that i read it at it appealed to me mostly for the fact that their were talking animals and a cool journey.
I appreciated  Stuart little because it proved that u cant just judge a book by its cover. And taught me to never do that again. My second time reading the book i appreciated that Stuart little doesn't only appeal to kids. It has a strong interest to most adults. It may seem like a child's book but Stuart little has alot of deeper meaning between the lines that if you read carefully you will catch them. But even though i appreciated some things about the book. I  have to say that i didn't like some things about the book like the ending and how the Stuart doesn't make any meaningful connections with anyone in the book. Maybe a small connection with Margalo but i only see her as a symbol in the story.
Maybe  you will think differently. So read the book and tell me what you think and how you feel about it yourself. You'll never know you might like something i didn't like or see something i didn't notice.

Mother to son response

This The:
Mother to Son by Langston Hughes
Well, son, I'll tell you:
Life for me ain't been no crystal stair.
It's had tacks in it,
And splinters,
And boards torn up,
And places with no carpet on the floor
Bare.
But all the time
I'se been a-climbin' on,
And reachin' landin's,
And turnin' corners,
And sometimes goin' in the dark
Where there ain't been no light.
So, boy, don't you turn back.
Don't you set down on the steps.
'Cause you finds it's kinder hard.
Don't you fall now
For I'se still goin', honey,
I'se still climbin',
And life for me ain't been no crystal stair.
Well after reading this poem for the first tme i noticed how the poem was structured and how the poem is written from the mother point of view to her son but Langston Hughes writes it, this got me thinking maybe the mother could'nt write? Since back then most blacks didnt know how to read or write. Or mabye she wanted Langston to put what shes saying to her son in poetic words?I also noticed how the poem sounds like it was written by a black person who lived back then.Even though i would appreciate better poetic words it was a good peom to read. The meaning goes deep between the lines and has a strong, hard  hitting sound to it.Well the poem shows the love and concern of a mother that she had for her son by the wisdom she imparts on him through the example of her own life, a climb up a staircase. She tells him how hard life is and comepares her life to a staircase always trying to reach to the next level, not to turn back down but to move ahead.the peom is trying to tell us that life is not just something you can walk through with ease, It is a long and hard journey.

Appreciation

I remember when i was younger and the first time i read the book Stuart Little by E.B White. I was seven years old and most books didn't appeal to me at all. I t was always hard to find a good boo to read. i was that type of person who loves to judge a book by its cover. Even though  your not supposed to i always do, if a book doesn't have a appealing cover i always thin that the book wouldn't be interesting at all either. Until the day some kid requested that i read the book Stuart Little. At first i opposed to reading the book it looked so stupid, but the kid nagged e and annoyed me so just to get them to shut up i started to read the book. At first i skipped some pages.... OK maybe alot of pages and got to like the climax of the book. It was interesting and appealing and i couldn't stop reading. The character were interesting, and Stuart little was very appeal and energetic like any kid should be but had the intelligence of an adult.
So Stuart little is basically about a mouse that is born into a family, that lives in new york. The family cares for Stuart and respects him and treats him as their own even though hes a mouse. After a injured bird come to there house and Mrs.little takes care of her it seems like Stuart gets a crush on Margalo. But then in sight of danger Margalo leaves without saying goodbye to anyone leaving Stuart heartbroken and hurt. So he goes an a journey to find her and just like Margalo leaves his family behind without any goodbyes or an in site of where he'd be at. During the journey Staurt meets a girl of his height and proportions but doesn't seem to make a connection with her, because he had Margalo on his mind.Stuarts personality is very interesting for his size hes educated(by only the age of three), mature, physically and emotionally fit, and he has a clear understanding of life and the world around him. Although the book ended without Stuart being able to find Margalo or returning back to his family, it was still a great book. Especially for the age that i read it at it appealed to me mostly for the fact that their were talking animals and a cool journey.
I appreciated  Stuart little because it proved that u cant just judge a book by its cover. And taught me to never do that again. Expanding on a note in Charlotte's Web

While reading Charlottes Web there were like alot of notes that i took that really stood out to me or like i wrote alot aboit and in deep detail. One note i has or shall  say notes lol was on the page we read in clas with our groups page 40 and 41. I swear i ripped this page up with notes! lol like on this page it really showed how intellegent, smart, and wise charlotte is, she speaks with respect, wisedom and truth. Shes like the parent figure in the story, you can look up to her always. Shes the one you can go to for advice like your  parents that you have. I think that she can really teach Wilbur alot about life and stuff. Its kinda like a techer, student senerio.
Also I notice how hard she had to work in her life to survie. She has to build her web every day to catch her food. She doesnt have it easy like us (or Wilbur) where we have our shelter already proved to us from either a parent or guardian. We have food prapared for us like we don't have to hunt for it or anything. So really compared to Charlotte we have the easy way out to everything. Another thing on these two pages that I noted was the desciption the author used for Charlotte. The words were very detailed and like its great to hear words like BRUTAL or SCHEMING or BLOODTHIRSTY in a childerns book.
Also I thought about the authors meaning on this passage to me it seemed like the author was trying to tell us that ''You shouldnt judge people by what they do or what they look like  before you get to know them really well'. I thought this because Wilbur thought that Charlotte was everthing he did'nt like but when he got to know her better he found out that shes amazing an everything she does is part of her life style. He ended up with a close new friend and his judgment of her changed.

Charlotte's Web Themes/ Theories:

While reading Charlotte's Web i came across many themes and theories I had while reading. Some themes that I had were Friendship, Life/Death, Trust, Affection, Pain/Pleasure, Adventure/Miracle, Growing Up/Changing, Family/Friends, Passion and The Passing of Time. Each one of these themes are connected to either the character or something that happens around the main character/or side characters. I love the themes in this book it makes the book more deeply involved with its delicacy themes and issues.
This book shows Friendship because of the strong connection that Wilbur and Charlotte shares. And the connection that Fern and the animals have. You can tell that Wilbur and Charlotte has a good, strong friendship because Charlotte spends her time making a web just to save Wilbur's life. Even though its not necessary for to do it, she does it any ways.Another friendship connection is the one that Fern shares with the animals. I mean like even though she cant talk to them and no one else believes that she can talk to animals she comes to her uncles far almost every day just to sit there and listen to them. I think she feels some sort of comfort when shes around the animals, maybe that's why shes always around them.
Another theme I saw in the book was Life/Death. I think this theme is the main theme of the book, because if Ferns father wasn't trying to kill Wilbur because of his size this story really wouldn't of happened. Wilbur's life becomes in danger twice in his life, first when Ferns father wanted to kill him but he survived because of Fern, and another time when the farmer wanted to kill him for food (which Wilbur wouldn't have known about if someone didn't tell him). And Charlotte tries her hardest to help him,and she succeeds but ends up dieing at the end of old age, but gives birth to 514 baby spiders. There's a lot to having life and the pain it gives people when death comes around, and i feel like Charlotte's death will not be forgotten EVER.I also came up with some theories while reading. Some of my theories are that i think that Charlotte replaces fern now. One reason I think this is that ever since Wilbur has left home and started living at Ferns uncle's farm he felt like he had no one. But when he met Charlotte this friendship started to build slowly and strongly improved. I feel like Wilbur depends on Charlotte with his life and soul, which is kind of true.
Another theory i have is that i think that Avery is trying to find a pet like Wilbur. I think that hes trying to see how Fern feels about Wilbur by having a pet of his own to get the same feeling. I think hes trying to do this when he tried to have a frog as a pet but it seems like that didn't work out well for him. Another reason is because he tried to catch Charlotte and make her his pet. But it doesn't seem like Avery is the type of person to have a pet all he really wants is attention.
On page 40-41 of the book i think the author is trying to give us a moral. I think this because at first Wilbur judged Charlotte on how she lived because her really didn't know her well and didn't understand that's the only way she can live is by doing what she does. But when he gets to know her better his judgement on Charlotte changes. I think the author is trying to tells us that we shouldn't judge people by the things they do before u get to know the person really well. And i agree with the author on this moral because we do it all the time in life and sometime this causes big issues.

Student Blogging

Well i think student blogging is a good way for everyone to see eacher others thoughts and comments onthings. I aslo think that student blogging gives students the chance get ideas from other students work. Like for me i love to hear what other have to say on a topic. We may end up thinking the same exact thing or thinking differently and u get to see and understand why they felt that way. Also i think that when a student comments on another students blogg to give them some advice or complement the writter on thier hard work. This really gives some students pride and make them feel that thier writting means something to others and not only them

                                            Get Hard At Work Blogging!!!!!!
Also it makes the student want to work harder on their work if they see that the length of someone elses writting is loger, or their writting has more details, or deeper thinking. I like when people comment on my work. It helps me see what i am doing well on so far and the things i might need to fix or change about my writting.I think student blogging lets the students help each other on their work. Sometimes when students help other students with thier work it helps them a bit more then when a teacher helps( no offense to teacher you are doing your jobs great but, some kids change more when a friend/classmate helps them improve their work).

Entry three

Charlotte's Webb Appreciation's

Well this book has alot of things to appreciate. I really appreciated all the mini photos given in the book.It helps me visulize the scenery or a person or how an object looks. I also appreciate the very detailed descriptions. Like when i am reading and the author descripes something like an item, how something smells, the scenery of when the author compares the characters feelings to something.
For example in chapter 3 the authour describes the barn by saying'' THE barn was very large. It was very old. It smelled of hay and it smelled of manure. It smelled of the perspiration of tired horses and the wonderful sweet breath of patient cows. It often had a sort of peaceful smell – as though nothing bad could happened ever again in the world. It smelled of grain and of harness dressing and of axle grease and of rubber boots and of new rope. And whenever the cat was given a fish-head to eat, the barn would smell of fish. But mostly it smelled of hay, for there was always hay in the great loft up overhead. And there was always hay being pitched down to the cows and the horses and the sheep. The barn was pleasantly warm in winter when the animals spent most of their time indoors, and it was pleasantly cool in summer when the big doors stood wide open to the breeze. The barn had stalls on the main floor for the work horses, tie-ups on the main floor for the cows, a sheepfold down below for the sheep, a pigpen down below for Wilbur, and it was full of all sorts of things that u find in barns: lad-ders, grindstones, pitch forks, monkey wrenches, scythes, lawn mowers, snow shovels, axe handles, milk pails, water bucket, empty grain sacks, and rusty rat traps. It was the kind of barn that swallows like to build their nests in. It was the kind of barn that children like to play in.''
I love the way the author goes into deep detail like that and really describes how the barn looks, where things may be, the kind of mood the barn gives off, the smell, how the barn changes over the seasons. This things really help me see the barn threw my charcters eyes, smell what thet smell get the mood that they feel at the moment.Details like this also helped me understand the charcaters feeling, when the author describes them and their actions it helped me with their charcater traits and why they do certian things. I am always finding a new theme in charlottes wed the more i read and i appericate that. It helps me see that theres more to the book than what meets the eyes. Each theme makes me see that this book is more than just a kids book.
One last thing that i appreciate about the book is all the connections i can make either to myself, a frind i know, or a text to world observation. It helps me think about the book more deeply. There are alot of things i appreciate about charlottes web, and i think without them this book wouldnt be as intresting as they are now.   E.B White......

Charlotte's Web Annotations

I noticed that in the beginning of the book Fern thought that the pig aka Wilbur should be able to live. Because she thought why take away a life of an animal because of its size. Its like taking away the life of a baby because its head os too big or it has an extra toe or something. But on page 12 when Fern's father wanted to sell Wilbur i would of thought that Fern would put up a fight about it.
Beacuse seeing as she feed him, grew him up, and basically treated him like her own child( as an equal to any other human being) that she would feel a way about her father wanting to sell him. But at least Wilbur is being sold to one of her family members near by so atleast she would be able to visit him offen. I think of Wilbur as part of thier family like a pet dog or cat. It really makes me wonder why she would let him go? How does she really feel about Wilbur going away? would she feel like shes losing a friend or losing a family member? If it was me it would feel like losing a family member because if I had did all the things Fern did for Wilbur then I would be really hurt.. badly.
I would be sad and mad, I would be mad that i would have to give him away. So mad that i might even argueabout it. And i would be sad to give him away after i cared for him as my own. It would be like a mother who had to give up her baby at birth. The pain, the hurt, would haunt her for her life.I also wonder what went threw her mind at that moment? Was she thinking about something else and dats why she did'nt really make a fuss about Wilbur? This part of the book made me think really hard and deeply about Wilbur's and Ferns relationship and how much she loves him.

Question: whats the point of re reading?

Well to me the point of re reading a book gives people the chance to enjoy the feelin the had when the first read the book. I dont really like re readin a book because I already know whats going to happen, so to me it kinda kills the joy of rerading the book.Another point of re reading a book is to get a better understanding of the text. For example when you are reading a complicated book you might not have understood the text. So its good for you to go back and re read the text again to understand what the text ment( and maybe even read between the lines).
I read the book Tough Times Never Last But Tought People Do and its not an easy book to read. Its an adult book based on life long problems, which the author helps u through by giving you tips. I had to read the book atleast 2-3 times just so I can fully understand the text and the book over all.Two movies that i have watched more than once is Ruch Hour 1,2&3(theses are three different movies). I watched this movie like 50 times!! I loveee it because it so funny and always make me laugh, even when im in a bad mood. Its my get away movie i watch it for laughter and to exscape some of  my problems.
I also  re read the book,What My Mother Doesnt Know I love this book. Its funny, something i can connect with, it brings reakity that i can understand(since im a teenage girl too I can connect with how the character may feel, what she might be thinking when shes making a dicsion. When boys wouldn't understand them deeper meaning of the book and how and y the girl reacts or say thing. Well thats my opinon I dont know about all of you lol. I re read The Hunger Games a few times because i just love the adventure it had, the drama it held and the way it always had u wondering what was going to happen next.
I think that these are all the reasons that you should re read a book or even re watch a movie.
